Gettysburg

I attended a leadership seminar at Gettysburg in Sept, 2012. It was led by Colonel Cole C. Kingseed, US Army, retired, former Chief of Military History at the US Military Academy at West Point. It was an honor to attend his seminar and to see Gettysburg. It was a very exciting and humbling experience. Great job Colonel. Ended up going a day early to make sure that I'd have enough time to take pictures. Got there on Sunday afternoon which allowed me to scout out the area prior to the next day's photo shoot starting at sunrise. It was a little surreal being at Cemetery Ridge at sunrise on Monday morning with no one else around. After taking some photos, I walked out on the battlefield where Picket's Charge took place. Turned around and saw where the Union lines were located at a higher elevation and couldn't imagine the courage and fear that must have been present that day on July 3, 1863.
